After perfect timing of us getting to the top of the Kuang Si Waterfalls, being able to enjoy the scenery and take a swim with only a few people in the pool, about a dozen novice monks joined the few of us in the area. It was such a spectacular sight to see these monks, who are usually so reserved and proper, jumping off cliffs, playing in the water amongst us, and having a marvelous time.....When all of us finished taking pictures of this rare moment, then all the busloads of tourists started coming up, lightning struck, and it started to downpour. It was a such a surreal moment in time, and this was definitely a highlight of my Laos trip captured in these photos.
