An Excursion

Yesterday, I had the day "off" since Bernie took the day off, so I spent the afternoon at the beach. Today, my dad and I went on an "excursion" (as he likes to call it). I took him to Kahala Mall to see the matinee of "Star Wars". He had enough strength to stand up and sit down in the wheelchair himself. Munched on a pepperoni hot dog and drink from Orange Julius to reminisce about my young days hanging out at the mall. We sat up close in the theater, as it was either up close or in the back row with the chair, so we opted for up close. Even though we both froze in the theater, I enjoyed my popcorn and kakimochi while watching the exciting flick. We successfully used the lift to get him back into the car, and headed home. It was a nice little excursion today.

Tomorrow I have the day "off" again as it is a state holiday, Kamehameha Day, so Bernice will be off of work.
