Box Car Racing!

What do you get with a dozen kids, a race car track, and one-wing and two-wing box cars? A lot of fun riding and friendly competition. Today, after a great yoga class and a quick stop at a neighborhood craft fair, we headed out to Kunia for Box Car Racing for Taiga's 3rd Birthday. We enjoyed good food and a couple hours of riding. I teased Chris for bringing his full face bike helmet, but then I wore it when it was my turn to ride. Chris had fun doing rides with Chase (and I tried it out a few times as well), but Chase is a little too young to really get into it. Half the time, his helmet was falling over his eyes during the rides. Chase had fun laying on the cool concrete, playing with sticks, and pouring cupfuls of ice cold water over himself.

We went to visit Vince. Again, Chase had fun playing with weeds and running up and down his driveway. We went to Waikele Outlet Mall, since we were in the area. I bought a pair of $10 shoes and a cute dress for work. Vince joined us for dinner at Chili's. Chase had fun taking crayons in and out of the box they gave him. It was a long day. We didn't get home to put Chase to bed until after 9 pm! Boy was he tired!
