Mike and I went to my friend Linh's house for a new year's dinner. Her brother was visiting from California, and her parents wanted to have people over. Linh's mom cooked her awesome spring rolls and Banh Xeo, Vietnamese crepes, with an egg omelet, meat, and all the veggies, wrapped in lettuce or mustard cabbage. I ate about 3 of them. Delicious!
Then we played a Vietnamese new year's gambling game where we had to put out our money over the pictures we thought would be rolled out on the three dice. It was fun, but the conservative gambler I am lost about $6. Mike was on a roll, for a novice gambler, and made about $30. It was a really fun night with good friends, kids, and food.
