After staying up until 4 am packing and cleaning and organizing things, we got to the airport with no problem at 11 am and had a good flight to Sacramento. Chase fussed a little mid-way through, but only because he hadn't napped in 6 or 7 hours, so he was just fighting it. I ignored the fasten seat belt sign and bounced him at the back of the plane, and he fell asleep. The people around us commented on how sweet he is and how he has such a soft cry. He did well on his first plane ride. It helped that Chris was next to me so I could spread out when we needed to change him and such. It will be a different story when we head back by ourselves.
My mom and Gary were waiting at the bottom of the escalators in the baggage claim with camera in hand and a little Santa hat to put on Chase's head. We got our luggage, put the car seat in Gary's truck, and headed to their house. We enjoyed a late dinner snack. Chase had a hard time sleeping tonight. His time is probably thrown off, plus it's a new place, and it's cold. He didn't really go to sleep until 3 am.
